RSEZ companies acquire experience in the Netherlands

March 29, 2016

With an aim to find new markets for their products and new cooperation partners, the representatives of Rezekne Special Economic Zone companies from 16 to 18 of March 2016 had participated in working visit to the Netherlands, cities of Hague and Utrecht, which had been organized by entrepreneurs from Latgale.

Every other year largest trade show for supply, subcontracting, product development and engineering in the Benelux countries – ESEF (European subcontracting and engineering fair) takes place in Utrecht.

Information on innovations, new materials and technologies as well as business contacts can be mention among the major gains from the participation. Meanwhile, in the Embassy of Latvia in Hague entrepreneurs had an opportunity to have a meeting with Ambassador of Latvia to the Netherlands Ilze Rūse and to receive practical advices on how to establish business contacts with partners in this country.

15 entrepreneurs from Latgale had participated in the visit, including representatives of two RSEZ companies – Executive Director of “IRBIS Technology” Aivars Tjarve and Member of the Board of “REDIUS” Aleksandrs Efremovs.

Aivars Tjarve values the opportunity to improve the knowledge of entrepreneurs on the development of engineering technologies. Modernization processes in the area of production are taking place very rapidly and, as observed in the trade show, the importance of automation and robotics is growing rapidly.

The visit to the Netherlands had been organized by the Latgale Planning Region within the framework of Norwegian Financial Mechanism programme project “Implementation of regional policy actions in Latvia and elaboration of regional development measures” and in cooperation with Representation of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in the Netherlands.
